Mukhyamatri Abhyuday Yojana Study Centre
Students across the country have to go to other districts and states to get coaching for competitive exams. There are many students who cannot afford the expense of getting coaching by staying in other districts. For all such students, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Chief Minister Abhyudaya Yojana. Through the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, free coaching is provided to the students of the state to prepare for competitive exams. Under this scheme, this coaching is provided to the students of the state in their own districts through subject experts.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Girls PG College, Aliganj Lucknow is the study centre of "Mukhyamatri Abhyuday Yojana" to provide academic assistance to girls of the college for preparation of civil services. It has been the first government college of Lucknow city that has been given responsibility to organise offline and online free coaching classes for competitive exams to the girls. Under the guidance of Prof. Anuradha Tiwari, Principal and able coordination of Dr. Jai Prakash Verma, Assistant Professor-Economics the study centre of the college was inaugurated on 12 January, 2023 by Sri Venkteshwar Loo, DG, UPAM. In the first batch 290 registration forms were received at the centre out of which 90 students were given a chance to be part of coaching classes after proper examination. They are guided by the empanelled counselors designated by the Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh, Government.
Since the establishment of the study centre two batches of 03 months passed and appeared in competitive examinations and some of them got selected in the State level examination.
During the last year many motivational lectures were organised at the centre in which many renowned administrative offers came for their talks and guided students through their experience.
At the college study centre scheduling classes and informing the candidates through WhatsApp group messaging are managed by the Nodal Supervisor Sri B.N. Singh and Mr. Manoj Kumar.
In the present session 92 students are enrolled for civil services preparation at the study centre of the college. Dr. Rajeev Yadav, Assistant Professor-English is the present Coordinator of the study centre of Mukhyamatri Abhyuday Yojana at the college in whose guidance the study centre is being run successfully.
Apart from being the study centre of Mukhyamatri Abhyuday Yojana the college faculty members Dr. Jai Prakash Verma, Dr. Rajeev Yadav, Dr. Shraddha Dwivedi and Dr. Vishal Pratap Singh have been empanelled counselors under Mukhyamatri Abhyuday Yojana by the Social Welfare Department.
