Department of Physical Education

Dept. of Physical Education started in the year 2011 as physical education has been introduced as an optional subject in graduation . Before that, from starting of this college it was recognized as sports department which acted for practicing sports activities and organising sports competitions for the students of the college. Dr. savita singh is the head of department since 2005 till now. Under her guidance students love to take the subject as a choice and understans the importance of healthy life and lts relationship with the subject. Every year students represent the college in many intercollegiate, university and interuniversity compitition.

In the month of August session starts with the regular practice of athletics and other sports for the students in which they learn warmup, free hand exercises, sprint and other fitness activiities . They practice the team games and individual games like kho kho, kabaddi , yog, badminton etc. In the month oct(27,28) in the lucknow university athletic meet a team of 12 students represented the college there ang got two gold medal, 1 silver and 7 bronz medal in different events. Ranjana yadav BA lll won gold medal in tripple jump and high jump, one silver medal in long jump, one broze in 4×100m race. Akanksha maurya of BAll won two bronz medals in 1500m and 4×100m relay race. Chandani verma of BAll won bronz medal in shot put, 400m and 4×100m relay race. Priya verma of BAlll won Bronz medals in tripple jump and 4×100m race. Babli maurya of BAll won a bronze medal in 400m hurdle race. In the month of january student mantasha ansari of BAll played all india interuniversity basketball tournament. 5 students kuaumlata BAll, Babli maurya BAll, ranjana yadavBAlll, anjali yadav BAll and neelaxi BAll represented lucknow university in all India interuniversity rugby tournament held at bhubneshwer odisha and played semifinals. Student Kusumlata of BA-II was selected and played in interuniversity football compitition. In the month February student ranjana yadav BAlll and Kusumlata of BAll has got selected in university softball team and played interuniversity softball tournament. In the month of January (17 to 20th) annual sports competitions were organised in which kho kho , Badminton singles and doubles, table tenis and carrom competitions were organised and students participated in large number. College's sports day were celiberated at 19th and 20th january 2019 which was inaugurated by our Principal maam prof. Anuradha tiwari and prize diatribution and closing cerimony was perfomed by Chief Guest Dr. Prema Pandey the former principal of this college . At the first day 19th all racing events were held at LDA Stadium nearby college in which 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4×100 m relay races, teachers 100m and other staffs 400m race were organised in the first half. Throwing and jumping events (Shot put, discus throw , long jump, high jump, javelin throw) were organized on second half of the 19th and first half of the Second day .Prize distribution took place in the second half .
